I have been an educator for several decades. As an instructor in the Canadian Forces, with a brief turn as a high school teacher, becoming an educational technologist and instructional designer at the University of Victoria in 2004. I became an instructional designer at Royal Roads University in 2015, where I'm currently the Associate Director for Learning Technologies in the Centre for Teaching and Educational Technologies. In the past I've taught educational technology at UVic, instructional design at Royal Roads and I am currently an Open Learning Faculty member at Thompson Rivers University, teaching in the Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching and Learning. I am Vice-Chair of the Educational Technology Users Group (ETUG), a community of practice for educational technologists and instructional designers in British Columbia's public post-secondary sector.
