The past year has seen a lot of growth in the OpenETC. It has launched a collaborative WordPress platform, with hundreds of new users from institutions across the province. It has seen development and growth with other tools. It has continued to experiment with new models of open ed tech collaboration that challenge the way learning technologies have traditionally been provisioned and supported.

This session will reflect developments at the first ever OpenETC barnraising in Kamloops on June 19. We will share an update on activity over the past year, with special emphasis on recent WordPress upgrades to enhance the management, usability, scalability and stability of the platform. We will invite partners to share how they have used OpenETC offerings over the past year in a mini-showcase. Finally, we will initiate a discussion on where the OpenETC might go from here to meet the needs of BC's educational technology community.
